Basic Operation - Water Ionizers come with approximately 6 feet (2 meters) of 1/4" plastic non-toxic tubing. Approximately half of the 1/4" tubing is divided and used for the Outlet and Inlet on the bottom of the unit. The tubing is attached to the OUT elbow and then draped into your sink for proper disposal of the acid water. The other section of tubing will connect to the diverter on your sink and the other end to the INLET elbow on the bottom of the ionizer. [See steps below] All Water Ionizers produce both Acid and Alkaline Ionized Water simultaneously, 70% of the water coming out the silver stainless steel flexible Tube, 30% of the Water coming out of the plastic hose from the bottom of the unit. Ionization occurs by water running over positive and negative electrodes, which produces positive and negative ions that are then separated into alkaline and acid water.
Start drinking Ionized Water slowly - Because it is very detoxifying since ionization reduces the size of the water molecule clusters making it significantly more hydrating than conventional water. Classic detoxification symptoms are headaches, rashes and diarrhea. If you experience any of these symptoms, put the ionizer on a lower level (numbers 2 or 3) for several days till the symptoms end, then begin slowly drinking higher ionization levels till you reach the highest level. Ionized Water ideally should be consumed between pH 9 to 9.5. It is strongest when it is fresh therefore it should be poured out and drank immediately as often as possible. However, it can still be consumed hours and even days after it is produced. It is best stored in a glass pitcher or a closed glass container.
To make Ionized Water stronger - Place the ionizer in the strongest mode by hitting the pH buttons (the higher number is stronger water), slow the flow of the water down so it takes 20-30 seconds to fill up an 8 ounce glass of water. This gives the water more contact time with the electrodes and makes stronger ionized water. If you see many small bubbles in the water, this is an indication that ionization is taking place.
