Filter Life - For best results, filters should be replaced approximately every 6-14 months depending on water conditions.

The filter life indicator give you an indication of how much water has flowed through the system. When the reading is 9999, it will blink and also give you a voice message indicating its time to change the filter.

Filter life can be shortened by:

  • Water that has lots of rust
  • Water that has lots of visible substances in it - ie: muddy water
  • Using the machine with low water pressure

The only way to know for sure if the carbon filter is used up is if you taste chlorine in the water after it has gone through the water ionizer or to test for it with a chlorine test kit such as those used to measure pool chlorine levels.
